Scroll down and read Mike Savad's (the photographer) comments. It appears that he is using two combined +3 closeup lenses for a total of +6 (Canon 250d and 500d; about $150 for both at adorama). They'll work well with the fz1. His camera is a Canon pro90 IS (10x zoom). Common closeup lens sets (+1,+2,+4; combined to +7) can be had for ~$30. Get a 55mm set for the fz1 and learn from there. Then step up to the higher quality lens.
