I must have read the (not so great) manual several times by now, and I still cannot figure out why my shot counter in the viewfinder always reads 99. Even after downloading all photos and reformatting the card, it's always 99.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Also, I may be asking a lot of questions for a while. I'm a pretty decent photographer and can figure most things out, but as I said, I find the manual for the L1 lacking. I'll appreciate your patience!

Thank,

LL

Replying to my own post. I guess I figured this out. The display does not show the number of photos recorded, but rather the number of photos that CAN be recorded. If this is true, it's kind of silly. I'd rather know at a glance how many I've shot. Oh well, it's a quirky camera, but that's exactly why I like it.

Now, if I could only get tack-sharp photos.
