I have had this camera for two months. In the beginning I could shoot both JPG and RAW and both formats looked wonderful.

Now, shooting in RAW mode will result in images looking like the one attached.

When importing through Adobe Bridge and into Photoshop I no longer get the large preview where I can change everything from luminance to white baclance. I simply get a box where I can chose images dimensions and 8bit / 16bit and a few other things. Clicking "ok" wil lresult in a picture like the one attached.

Firmware version 1.06

Thanks you in advance.

It's more likely a software issue. What version of Photoshop are you using?

The DMC-FZ18 was not supported until Camera Raw version 4.2 (which won't work in older Photoshop versions).

If you haven't installed the latest latest Camera Raw plugin (you'll need 4.2 or higher), you can download the latest 4.4.1 version from here:

After selecting your operating system, just follow the instructions on the download page. Basically, you just unzip the downloaded file, and copy the Camera Raw .8bf plugin to the correct folder on your PC.

You may also want to try a different raw converter. Here's a free one that supports your camera:

JimC you were right. I updated Photoshop to the newest version in addition to updating camera raw to the version you link to and it works like a charm!
