I haven't been around for a while but is there a reason Panasonic could notuse the new 1.63 sencor that's in the LX3 in a FZ series camera for an upgrade to the FZ-50? That would be a pretty good start for an upgradeto my thinking.

Thanks everybody for your response.

Greg, your shoots are amazing. You are rigth, the high luminance of the lens helps a lot. I was just thinking that this great lens with great Image processor engine, could be a superb combination.

This weekend I wwnt to a store and I got a complete new catalogue from Panasonic, and the FZ-50 is not included there. The salesman told me it has been discontinued. I definitely will buy one of the last available, although I had in may hands a new FZ-18, and it seems to be great, much like my old FZ-15 (auto-oriented camera)

And now there's a new replacement for the FZ18.The even nicerFZ28 should not be that far from hitting the shelves...
