Default Slave flash with FZ2

I received my Vivitar DF200 digital slave flashgun today, works perfectly with the FZ2.

Took a few photos using a bit of unexposed slide film over the flash on the FZ2, blocking as much visible light from the cameras flash as possible allowing the near infrared light that passes to trigger the slave and placing the flash to the side and behind the subject.

The flashgun is placed to the left of the subject pointing at it. Visible light from the cameras flash is blocked effectively using an IR filter preventing any front lighting.

The flash is supplied with a mini tripod so can be placed anywhere relative to the camera, and it does trigger fine when directly alongside the camera. The head can also be angled horizontally and vertically.

The following 2 links show the flash fitted to the mini tripod as supplied.

The flash is also supplied with a base bar that both the camera and flash can be fitted to as shown in the following 2 pictures.

I live in the UK and originally found nowhere to purchase the flash, after contacting Vivitar Europe however they gave me the contact details of a company in London that do mail order and supply the flash, this is where I got it from.

oh
awsome
it wont have sync problems with a dmc-fz1, right?
i read that it has a smart learn mode.. how does it works? you tell the flash how much time he has to wait before flash?
it's ask a lot to you to take a picture in a hall or something to see till where the flash will light?
thanks for the links by the way
