I took several videos today using my new TZ5, and it seems the ones with lots of motion in them have these vertical lines in the movie (they mostly seem pink in color). Anyone know why this is and if its normal?

Hello F/B :-)

I have seen this line once in a while on my TZ-1 and my girl friends TZ-5 (neither of us use the movie mode).

I suspect is has to do with glaring light of that things left side cheek. :?

When you reposition does it vanish? If so then the camera is good and it is a form of flare.

I think your right. When I slow the video down, the lines start on a shinny side of the object. Other videos shot without the bright sun don't have this problem. Also the still photos don't have it either, just the movies, so I think the camera is good, and this is just a problem with most digital cameras.
