Default FZ10 size

A post on Phil's implies that the FZ10 dimensions published by Panasonic are incorrect.

Bob, could you please measure it and tell us whether the poster was mistaken or there is indeed an error in the published specs?

Thanks,
Alex.

As far as I know, the dimensions are correct, though they were originally stated in metric.
This morning I got a final version of the O.I. and double-checked the dimensions in it against my actual measurements.

These are overall, allowing for the small protrusions by such things as the hot shoe and carrying strap anchors. “Inch” measurements were rounded.

Width: 5 3/8” (138.5 mm)
Height: 3 ½” (87.2)
Depth: 4 ¼” (105.7)

Cool piece! FZ10 looks like a 'real' camera vs. some lady's jewel box.

I don't give a damn how small you can make it. You carry a quality german SLR kit and the three len's this replaces - this looks like it's helium filled!

...and the PANASONIC logo is nicely small. I don't want people to think I'm carrying a mini-boombox that looks like a camera.

..on the list.
