From a distance, I thought it was a butterfly. Only when it came near and rested on a twig did I realise this was a dragon fly, with pattern on wings. Caught at a distance of roughly 7-8 ft, telemacro, FZ-28.

Nice picture Raghu, love the background showing the same patterns as those on the wings. Pretty amazing macro result for that distance too

Thanks for viewing and the comments. Yes, I was amazed too, as I am still fiddling with the FZ28. In fact, this picture was heavily cropped (to about a third of its original size) and then resized to 800p width. Despite that, I am glad the picture has come well.
