Ahobilam is a place in the State of Andhra Pradesh, India, considered where Lord Vishnu made his fourth Avatar as lion-facedNarasimha (Nara - human; Simha - lion). There are nine shrines in and around the hills visiting which involves a trek of about 20 km. Sharing some photos here. Summer has started and you can see trees starting to dry up. A visit in November/December would have given us more greenery. C&C welcome.

While part of the way has rough-cut steps, mostof theway is through footpath full of rocks and stone.

Full of nature everywhere. Early-morning trek is pleasant, but it really gets hot even before noon.

Watch this and the next photo. From one shrine, you are able to see the steps (laid for only about one-fifth of the way) on the other hill leading to another shrine.

This is the view of the shrine taken from those steps you saw in the previous photo.

Some trees are beautiful, even when they shed leaves.

Sun setting through the trees. The switchover is quick and it suddenly gets dark after sunset.
