Default FZ-28 Spare Battery Question

Hello again. I just love my FZ28. When I got it I was so excited. I bought an extra battery from e-bay. It is not a Panasonic but it says for Pan CGA-S006E 7.2V Li-ion battery. I have read not to use after market batteries on here. I am afraid to use it. Should I or not???
Thank You again for your time. KayC

I use an aftermarket battery with my FZ28. Performs just as well as the original.
Can't speak for all aftermarket batteries, just the one I own.

The FZ28 does not check to see if the battery is a Panny.

I bought a spare battery with my FZ-28 and it wasn't a Panasonic branded one and I have had no problem with it. I have several other digital cameras all with non branded spare batteries and again no problem.

I'll be ordering two extra batteries today that are after market and, they are highly
reviewed for use on the FZ28, just a fraction of the cost of the Panasonic brand.

Default Aftermarket works for me.

I bought a spare battery for my FZ28, also from eBay, the 'UpStart Battery' brand. It works just as well the original. That said, I have yet to run down a single battery in a day or two of shooting. I am getting well over 400 shots on a single charge. I rarely take more than that unless I am out for more than three days. I do like how much faster they charge than the AA's all my previous cameras used, as well as the smaller size and lighter weight.
