hey Bob,

I had the same problem.

iPhoto does not read the AVCHD lite format and isn't able import it. There are some third party utilities that can convert AVCHD.

Or upgrade to the latest version of iLife/iMovie. The newest iMovie can import AVCHD lite. Then you can convert it & send it out to iPhoto.

Or change the settings in the camera to record as Motion JPEG and not AVCHD lite.

Check out this program:

Wondershare

I don't have imovie9, and was using a freeware program called isquint, but the guy who wrote the program has moved on.

Just select 'show all files' when opening AVCHD lite and movies can be saved as Apple TV high def videos. Program is not free, costs $40.

I've had it for about a week, works fine.

You can try out the program as a demo before deciding whether to buy or not.

Hi there,
I suppose that you need a video conversion software, with which you guys can easily import videos to Macbook. According to my own experience using Video Converters, I would like to strongly recommend ******* Video Converter for Mac, because the conversion capability is very satisfactory.

Hopefully it will help you guys.
