Default Harassing Panasonic Bob...

I'm not an Area 51 type, but I've been around long enough to remember hachet-jobs done on people to lessen their stature, or simply: make them go away. Remember the blackbag job done on Sen. John McCain and family after the last NH primary? (Probably not, most people are easily led, as if in a museum, from painting to painting)

My thought about the boorish treatment ("Wake up." was a corker in its crudeness) given Bob, was that perhaps it was a little more intended than accidental. I competely understand that many of us become seven feet tall and broaden their shoulders while typing ananymously at a keyboard, and even the pitbull portion of our personality can get some exercise without getting a bloody nose... BUT - if I didn't want Panasonic to succeed in gaining market share...I just might attempt to drive him off.

I, for one, after hearing of the spec on this new camera, readily gave my Visa# to Video Direct....AND, felt a hell-of-alot better about it after reading Panasonic Bob's posts. It was - as if - there was a REAL HUMAN working at one of these large corporations who, like the Dept. of Energy, seemingly don't give a S__ about anything except their parking spots and two week trade missions to Bermuda.

If I was a brand manager for some similar subset at another brand: A) I'd cruise the boards... B) I consider methods to counter his influence.
(since I'm not interested in another brand, I don't know that the counter may in fact be a Canon Bill, Sally Sony, Pentax Pete, etc...) BUT - I'd be concerned, and if I was a lowlife - I'd blackbag Panasonic Bob.

Since it would be diffficult to counter him technically, except to state: "THIS CAMERA DOES NOT WORK FOR ME!" and illustrate why $600. is simply not $6,000. ....then perhaps another method would be to: simply harass him 'till he goes away.

This whole conspiracy theory comes to mind because, really, I don't think people are that boorish outside of REALLY meaningless stuff like baseball or other team sports. (which most are too f'ing lazy to go out and play...)

...just a thought.

Camera soon, eh!?

Yahooo...

No one has driven me away - I'm just VERY BUSY!! My participation is limited by how much free time I have. I understand the attitude of people and I came here freely!

I'm confident that the FZ10 will make many happy for the holidays.
I'm lurking and reading and I'll be butting in as time permits!
Thanks

Glad you're still here Bob. Many of us have pre-ordered the FZ10 and are eagerly awaiting its arrival.

It's already being shipped directly from Japan to dealers. I'm sorry, I don't have a list of dealers but I can tell you that we are doing our best to fill all orders ASAP. And most important, we've kept our promise to have it in the dealers by November!

Sorry about my absence, but I've been very busy, and there isno light at the end ofthe tunnel.
Thanks
