Does not look as detailed after the upload to this site, not sure what I'm doing wrong.

The flower is beautiful, but i get dizzy looking at the picture, with my eyes having a hard time focusing on the flower with ALL that blur. Maybe have it zoomed a little closer so there is a higher ratio of flower to background.

Not your fault. When websites auto-resize, they screw things up. This could use a little cropping to bring the flower more as the subject.

Great picture, Anthony. I like the DoF and colors. May I suggest cropping off those pointy things on the left side of the image? They are very distracting. In fact, I'd crop that peace of leaf down at the bottom left corner as well. That would offset the flower a bit to the left but I think it would be OK. If not, leave the leaf and remove only the pointy plant.

If I remember, I used Aperture Priorty, stepped back about 5 feet from the flower and zoomed in

anthony_b-

You have made an excellent start. As Tullio mentioned, eliminating backgroud distractions and going in closer on the rose by either cropping or re-positioning the camera, would improve the photo.

Have a great day.
