Default The FZ-35 Scene Modes

As usual, I was up early enough to see the sunrise. The Sunset Scene Mode did very well, and I expanded the photo format to show more sky, as Tullio had suggested. It looks good and proves the Sunset Scene Mode was spot on.

Nice shot, Sarah! Thank you for sharing. I wonder how different the same shot would be in "P" mode....Did you have a chance to compare?
Oregon must be a good place to be in this time of year....We had around 7 degrees today morning in MI....

Yes, if that same photo had been taken in the "P" or Programed Auto Mode it would not have quite looked the same. Why, you might ask? Because whwn the Sunset Scene Mode is used, the FZ-35 automatically uses a bit of minus Exposure Compensation and increases the saturation in the red channel.

BTW, Steve, I did not have to go outside. I shot the sunrise photo through the large window in our great room that overlooks the ocean. So, I stayed warm and snuggy.
