Default Using the Aperture Preference Mode

I just got my FZ-35 today and I saw on a youtube video that you can change the aperture in P mode. However, I wasn't able to do that. When I half press the shutter bottom, I wasn't able to change the aperture using the joy stick. do you know what's wrong?

Thanks a lot!
Shirley

Hi Shirley-

Welcome to the Forum. We're delighted that you dropped by.

The Aperture Priority Mode is the only mode that I know of that allows you to change aperture. It is the "A" mode on the Mode Selector Dial. You can fin more detail in the Owner's Manual found on the CD.

Have a great weekend.

You can change aperture in P mode. Just turn intelligent ISO off and you will be able to use joystick to change the aperture.

Steve is correct. I always have the Intelligent ISO off, and in P mode have full control over the aperture. I stopped using Intelligent ISO on the day I bought the camera as I found it quite limiting. Also, I have my ISO FIXED at 200, and manually adjust the ISO setting every time. I then never run the risk of a high ISO if I forget to change it
