The shot of the yellow flower is just stunning. Is that a macro shot?

They look nice to me. I do like that monkey's expression. And, do tell details of the yellow flower. Was it flash, and how far back was the background?

I think they are very nice photo's, the yellow flower is very clear and i like the pose of the monkey. I think many people are pleased with the FZ35/FZ38

Default Marumi UV Filter with fz35 picture

thx all of you for the kind words..
The yellow flower is kept flat on a glass topped dark table, no flash, it was daytime and lot of sunlight ( I live in India, sunlight is something we are never short of ! ) was coming from a window to the right, i don't remember the exact distance and zoom, I think it was 8-10 cms and maybe 2-3x zoom but i could be wrong slightly , more meta data at http://www.flickr.com/photos/3735086...57622556623473 .
Today i got a Marumi UV/Haze filter ( 46 mm thread ) for the camera and I took a couple of pics with it. Seems to me that it improves the picture quality, see the pic below although I didn't take one without the filter so can't compare. The green stretch visible ( barely ! ) in the pic at the back is at least 3-4 miles away and there is lot of pollution and haze in the air.

Welcome to the Forum and to the Panasonic Folder. We are delighted that you dropped by. I think you will find the folder welcoming place as there are indeed a very nice group of Panasonic FZ-35/38 users who are very active.

Your photos display a lot of detail which indicates you are very careful when taking your photos. Thanks for sharing some very good photos.

The colour in the yellow flower, the detail in the monkey picture... outstanding quality from the Panasonic FZ35. These are great. I take it that the ISO was quite low?

All the best.

thank you all, Sarah I notice you are very warm and prompt in welcoming new members here, much appreciated.
ISO was 80 or 100 in all cases.
