All this elitism from the FZ owners : Next thing we will have all the SZ or
LX owners (without a group of their own) claiming discrimination because
they have much smaller lenses than the FZ owners

Greg,

This might be fun,......but what do we do to join?

I will have to apply for a junior membership with my nearly worn out FZ28. However, I ordered an FZ35 yesterday so may be eligible for full membership in a week or so. I studied superzooms long and hard. It became clear to me that none of the others offered the feature set, light weight, and quick handling of the FZ35.

I'm hoping there is an expert around somewhere that can tell my how to get AVCHD video to play in Picasa.

Hi there, Folks-

I am in on the group as well now. So what happens next? I sincerely believe that the net result would be negative if further discussions took place within the "Social Group" rather than here in the Panasonic P+S folder.

So, Greg, we need a bit more in explanation as to how this group will work, please.

Sarah Joyce makes a great point.

Right now the discussions on Steve's Panasonic forum are the best anywhere. I'm always surprised at how many people are on when I check in. It is much more active than even the DP review Panasonic forum.

I hope we don't spread ourselves too thin.
