Hi Mary,

very nice footage. What were the settings of the FZ35 that you used here?

joho, to be honest i haven't a clue. i just switched over to the movie mode and pressed the shutter to start i had completely forgot that you needed to set it to have mjpeg, so that's how i wound up with the avchd lite.

sorry i'm not much help. i was just so swept up in the concert vibe

No problem, Mary. If you only switched to the film mode and pressed the shutter, you probably filmed in the P mode with the settings you had selected for the P mode.

In any case - it is great to see that the FZ35 handled this situation so well.

When you record video it is also the best to switch to manual focussing - otherwise the camera will always refocus when you move the camera.

Does anyone know if you need to cover up the microphones if your doing a very loud rock concert? I am still waiting for my camera to arrive and I have a friend who plays in a band and they want some footage to put up on youtube. they play in a small bar and it is really loud. They play a lot of older hard rock and I am just wondering how well the FZ35 would handle this situation. I have tried with my cell phone and it sounds really really bad. LOL.

There's a guy at DPR who shoots heaps of concerts, he might be worth an ask. search the Panny forum there under "concert"
