Default New Reviews SZ7/TZ10

Thought I would post this: Two new reviews of the SZ7/TZ10

http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/ZS7/ZS7A.HTM
and
http://www.photographyblog.com/revie...c_tz10_review/

I found what the author of the 1st revew had to say about
the Intelligent Features interesting, as I too turned both these
features off long ago on my FZ38/35 (I manage well without them):

"Features like Intelligent ISO, I learned to leave off. Others, like
Intelligent Exposure, I decided offered much less help than I'd hoped".

Regards

dbnnet-

There is another advantage to turning off these automatic functions as well. You learn more rapidly, by not depending on them, while creating your own "work arounds."

Sarah, Hi - Yes, I did have to go through quite a learning curve.

I have been trying to figure out if there are other owners out there
who are doing the same ..... or am I the only odd-ball out there

As for those reviews: I think that for now, many ZS3 owners will
probably hold on to their cameras for quite a while still.
No real advantage in upgrading to the SZ7 I think??

As for the LX3 owners....I think Samsung may well have something
"amazing" in their new TL500????? I'm not sure, but for its price,
(and if it indeed performs similarly to the Canon G11) .... they may well
have a BIG winner there?
Like the new Pentax 645D, they are using a decent CCD sensor,
and like Canon G11, have kept the camera at 10MP.
Good move to ignore all the marketing hype around CMOS
and Mega High MP if you ask me!

Regards

Yeah spent most of my afternoon going through the FZ35 manual, did I learn alot after that session, wow. All Intelligent modes are turned off on my cam, but I must admit if I can't get a certain shot then I alway see if Intelligent can do the trick, the results is always worst. Great weekend to you lovely people.
