Default Anyone see Gadget show last night?

On Gadget show (Channel 5 in UK) there was a very brief review of three superzooms, the Panny FZ38, the Sony HX1 and the Fuji S200EXR. Bit late considering we're expecting a new crop of superzooms to come out. Just wondered if anyone saw it and if so, what you thought?

oh dear! Well let me see if I can give you a run down. He went to the caribbean and tested them on three tasks:

Photographing little iguanas - he preferred the sony owing to apparently faster focus than the other two.

Videoing water skiing - again he favoured the sony- close call with the panny but the video from the panny stuttered slightly in places. The fuji was way behind as it doesn't record in HD

Low light party on the beach with and without flash, surprisingly the fuji didn't fare too well. I think the sony came in top again, panny last.

anyway he not surprisingly scored the Sony top in his test based on these results. Fuji came last of the three mainly because of the video.

I believe that Sony paid a fee for the stunt. They have been doing that since last October, to boost Christmas sales of their much more expensive HX1 camera.
