The Lowepro 110 bag I got, pretty much does the job, everything is tightly fitted and there is place for my cleaning pen, extra battery, cloth. mini usb card reader , 2 UV filters (one on camera) and 3 SD cards (one in camera).

Can you leave the lens hood attached in the bag? I haven't decided if I plan to use it yet.

I forgot about the hood, No, I keep mine in the bag at all times, only use it on sunny days and when I use the zoom. It fits above the camera in the bag.

I read in a review that the ring which attach the hood to the camera is very delicate and prone to break if not used properly. They are hard to find a replacement and it is not offered as an accessory on the market or online.
