Default Famous rock photographer Jim Marshall passes

I enjoyed his work immensely. Took pix of the icons of rock. He used a Leica rangefinder and I mean he really used it...take a look at the wear on the body.

I'm sure people who saw this camera with Mr. Marshall, but didn't know him...knew he was obviously a working photographer...a hard working photographer.

I have a Leica Rangefinder an F series, even older then this M series in the link...but mine does not have the well worn look...sadly.

Thanks very much, Les-

..for calling our attention to Jim Marshall's passing. He truly was a very famous photographer in his own right. I loved the photo of his well used Leica M-4.

I also loved the photo of his Leica M-4,,,paint worn down to the brass. I have a Pentax ES ll that I bought new in '74...black body, that I used quite a bit...some of the black paint is rubbed off from use to the brass on that camera, but certainly not to the same extent as Jim Marshall's.

I have fond memories of some of his R&R pictures...the Beatles, Jim Morrison...Janice Joplin...he did catch that era well.
