I have read many complaints about NWV for playing those kind of games. They did the same to me on both the LT-55 and the DMW-LA3. Bait and switch?
I ordered my TCON from Amazon. I use it with the Pemaraal PA62E adapter. Unfortuantely, assembled it is a bit too big for my Lowepro TLZ-1 holster. SO I am now trying to decide whether to order one of the holsters mentioned above (the MROCK sereis look really nice), or find a BIG bag that I can tote the camera AND my other birding paraphernalia (binoc, field guides notebooks etc.) all in one. Aaah me! Decisions, decisions!!!

I'm having a bit of problem finding the correct TCON-17. A lot of places it's out of stock or back ordered. May have to go with the LT-55 if I want it sooner. You got it. Decisions decisions!! Oh me Oh my.

Did you check out the Nikon E15ED with the Extra Low Despersion Glass from PCMONDE? You will still require an adapter...

Default Now you've done it,..

I wish I had never started reading this thread. Until now, I thought the 18X or 35X with EZ zoom was all I could possibly need.

Now you guys have tweaked my interest in these other gadgets. This could cost me!!

I'll stay tuned to see what Clint decides. He is my mentor and head joke writer.

Jack - you need to set your standards a LOT higher!!!

Basically, I am cheap.

I finally found a TCON-17 and the Panasonic adapter here http://www.video-direct.com/

At least I hope so (no confirmation yet). Reading all the "stuff" that was on the forum I decided to try the Olympus TCON-17 (saved about $100 by not getting the Panasonic but it was a close race!!)

I'll let you know how it turns out.

Interested to hear your impressions, Clint. I'm with Jack, I wasn't even thinking about anything else until I started reading all of this. I think I'll take some time learning the camera and working with my polarizer filter before going on to any new gizmos, though.
