As Woodbadger Ian said, he took a 30 year hiatus from photography. I didn't wait quite that long but my old Nikkormat with closeup rings and 300mm zoom lens got a good work out many years ago. It was always fun to set up spider and bug shots. Reading and seeing all this makes me want to start again. One of my favorite shots was a jumping spider peeking over a leaf. You could see my reflection in about 4 of his eyeballs.

A few more macro zoom shots - each at different EZ factors. Started at 9M (I use 16:9) then 6-3-2 EZ's. Sitting on a bench - subject about 5 feet.

I guess you could call them EZ shots.

Wow amazing, this camera has excellent zoom capabilities . I discovered that at a live concert I was at recently and it excels in low light too. I was blown away by the results.

OK - I finally got the LT-55. I got tired of messing around with places saying "out of stock" or "back ordered" on the T-Conn17.

Hastily fitting the LT-55 lens on the camera I go out side and take a few shots (hand held).

Results - most are pretty crappy looking. But I get a few that are OK.
For instance - this looks OK

but this one - blurred - off focus

It's getting late and the light is getting dim. I'll try again tomorrow.

Any "tips" graciously accepted

Clint,

I have never used the Lt-55 or other add on lens but this is the kind of effect I get if I use extended zoom and spot focus,.....

Weird - I used spot focus on both of those shots.
