I've shopped at Monoprice before - excellent prices and good customer service. I just hope that cable will work with the FZ35.

I swear by Monoprice. I just had a new home built last year. I had the whole place wired for network; phone; whole house AV; and a home theater. When I saw the price the contractor was planning on charging me for connectors, face plates, patch panels, distribution hubs etc. I just about fainted. So I had him rough out the cable before all the walls and ceilings were completed, and then once I was ready to move in I went in and did the rest of the work myself. Bought all the pieces I needed from Monoprice, and saved a bundle.

I just found a Mini HDMI to HDMI cable at Walmart for $12, Targus brand,
and some cheap 58mm filters by Targus, with 2 ring adapters
"58mm to 52mm" and "58mm to 55mm" for $16

What's your TV's model number, I've got a bit of time to kill today, I'll look into it for you if you like.

That $12 Targus Mini HDMI to HDMI cable failed to work, tried it on a
TV less than a year and a half old, 46in Phillips brand LCD TV, the camera
kept saying something like "TV Mode" but the TV was just a black screen

umm, sorry to ask cause I'm sure you've already tried this, but have you switched inputs on your TV to HDMI?

Oh yea, and tried 2 of the 3 HDMI ports on the back of the TV, and tried
different settings on the camera, the "Viera Link" off and on, and "HDMI
mode" in auto and 1080i, the TV supports up to 1080p
