Default Softwear for digital pictures

When I get my FZ35 do I use the softwear that comes with the unit or do I use Picasa that I have been using? Is there any difference? Every camera seems to come with a diff softwear product.

It's all a matter of preference. There are many freeware programs from which to choose. Try as many as you can and then pick the best one that suits your needs. I use several for different needs. It just depends on what you like.

I have gotten so I just use Photoshop Elements 8.0 for everything. You can find it discounted for less the $(US)50.00 easily. I also teach it so that keeps up my competence with the program.

Sarah, thanks for the input. As I am very new to this is there a book or two that you would recomend to learn a little about Digital Photo?
