Thanks for all of the suggestions. Chillgreg - Your suggestion to use the white card method was spot on. I also appreciate the page information to get this started.

The Georgia Dome has a natural-light roof that allowed me to use the ia mode with success.
Thank you again for the support.

Good going, Greg for checking the manual. That is an excellent approach. The point that I was attempting to make for the benefit of MtSanders, the OP, was that the WB presets can not always hit the WB absolutely and precisely.

Instead, you may have to depend on a post processing adjustment to get it really spot on.

Who Won? It was an alliance of three teams formed after the qualifying rounds. We finished 75th, not bad for a rookie team.
Here is the Championship results.....http://team573.com/FirstRoboticsCham...ta2010FRC.html

mtsanders challenge in this specific set of circumstances is not due to the colour-cast issue, it's clearly (as he states himself) related to taking indoor shots under differing artificial light sources.

Five-O's subsequent response still didn't answer nor help the OP mtsanders - merely a meandering diatribe - he can start a new thread on that subject if he feels so strongly about it. I almost felt I was at another forum reading his reply!

So are you implying that my advice to over-ride the Auto WB and instead make use of the manual WB feature of the FZ35 was wrong in your eyes? And then if this failed, to make adjustments on the PC later was somehow not right on the money, even though that's what you yourself recommended ??

You might also note that I also took the time to check the manual and refer him to the relevant portions there, as you yourself have done for other posters many times.

All the best
Greg
I already stated that he should use manual WB in my initial reply so you were the one trolling. I also said in my initial post if that failed that he could correct it in post. I don't believe there was any need to repeat my instructions just so you could argue against my comment about the auto WB. Your denial of a very well known problem within the brand shows your lack of objectivity and your personal attack on me based on a disagreement with my opinion shows a high level of immaturity.

FiveO and Greg, please cease this conversation as there is only one outcome when things get personal. We are using a text based system so we lose a lot of the tone and other expressions that there would be in verbal/face to face communication meaning things can easily be misinterpreted from the way that they are originally intended. However, talking about someones character or intentions isn't one of these areas so please don't go down this route.

I'm not closing this thread, or deleting any posts currently but please don't pursue this conversation.

Thank you for intervening Mark - I agree with you 100% and apologise to all for any distress caused. I have also self-moderated my previous posts.

Sincerely
Greg
