Default FZ38 in the Scottish Highlands

Hi everybody,

Well we're back home safe and sound and I have a few pictures to share! Please bear with me while I spend some time sorting through, editing, and uploading the photos!

This teaser is of Liathach, a sensational roadside mountain ridge which my wife and I climbed four days after this photo was taken. A climber died in an avalanche on this ridge in February so we didn't take any chances with the snow, beautiful though it is.

Thanks Sarah!

Here are some more photos, starting with wildlife (courtesy of that wonderful 18x zoom):

This photo didn't come out so well because the birds were so restless and therefore virtually impossible to get in focus!

And finally, some tremendous (and unfortunately some overexposed) views from the Liatach ridge:

I have quite a few more photos to sift through and will try to post them soon.

Wow - what great pictures - Scotland is a "picturesque" place.

The Lake District is the closest I got to Scotland. I regret never going there. Just wonderful pictures and scenery.

We've just returned from Dumfries and Galloway. Sadly the weather was not all that great for photgraphy, being either p1ssing it down with gale force winds or generally grey and overcast. Did manage a few shots but nothing spectacular, will post some over the next few days.

Holy smokes Davi - you could charge for those photos - I feel like I'm looking at a glossy expensive coffee-table book! My favourite is the one of Liatach Ridge, it really evokes the timeless grandeur of Scotland.

Seriously fantastic results you are getting out of your FZ35, who needs a DSLR these days! For those of us not fortunate enough to have been there, it's really beautiful, thank you for sharing matey.

Cheers
Greg

Thanks greg! This part of Scotland is especially beautiful at this time of year - wish we had never come home!

The FZ38 really is a fantastic camera and I love it, but it is admittedly difficult going from a Nikon D90 to a superzoom - now the D90 on that mountain ridge would have been fun (and a lot heavier lol)
