Default ZR1 first outing - Some Cleveland touristy shots

I went downtown to shoot today. Brought the Olymus EPL-1 and the Panny ZR1. It was too sunny and contrasty to get any good architecture shots today with the EPL1, so I used the afternoon to get a good walk in, have a couple beers, and test out the ZR1 with some touristy shots.

Overall the ZR1 is a joy to shoot, starts up fast, autofocuses fast, and my favorite thing is the wide angle 25mm equivelent lens.

not the most artistic shots in the world. but gives you an idea what the zr1 can do in really tough lighting situations. i thought it did quite well with the exposures, considering how bright it was today.

Very sharp for a little point and shoot. Not to bad with the macro shot. But the last shot is my favorite of the series. I like the prospective of your shot of the building.

thanks shoturtle and ltz

it really is a nice little camera, and the price cannot be beat right now as it is going for 75$ less than when it was introduced. which is really a quick drop in price, as the camera was introduced less than 6 months ago.

Nicely done, Dustin-

For its price, the ZR1 is a real performer! Your photos prove that quite nicely. I have also been pleased with my ZR1 and I feel quite safe in lending it to other family members. Currently, I would imagine that it is taking Tulip Festival photos in Holland.

Thanks Sarah, with that price I just could not pass it up at Costco! And since like you I always hand out my p&s cameras to gf and family, I was in need of one since giving away my Fuji (my gf said borrow, but i know i will never see it again) I am sure your ZR1 is perfroming quite well at the Tulip Festival, it worked quite nicely for me on the tulip!
