Clint..... you always have some of the most awesome pics, you must sit around for hours waiting on some of your bird shots. I say that because EVERY morning when I walk outside for work, I hear this wood pecker in a tree in my backyard, for over 2 weeks now, I haven't been able to find him or see him. I wanna take a pic of him so bad and I have even sat outside for over an hour in a lawn chair, I can hear him pecking away but I haven't been able to spot him YET,lol.

These are two great pics !!!

Both of them are very shy. The feeder is about 8 feet away from my computer. When they land I have to move v....e....r....y slow or they fly away. That's the only shot I have ever gotten of the red bellied woodpecker.

The redheaded woodpecker lives out in a dead pine tree in the back yard. When he came up a cloud came over and I had to brighten up the picture a bit. If you look closely you may see some diagonal window reflections on his wing.

This is him in his "younger" days.
