Since I'll most likely take my G1 + lenses on trips, I think I want a bag that's a tight fit just for the camera, so I can keep the ensemble as small as possible. Today I found a GPS case, which I believe will work. It was only $5 so I bought it. It's semi-hard with a soft fabric lining inside and two elastic bands going across to secure the unit. If the camera fits, it will be PERFECT. I also took the ZS6 back to Costco. I decided to get either the ZS5 or ZS7 from Amazon. I'm debating on the $70 savings (or not depending on my choice - ZS5 or ZS7).

You can get this at filmtools.com... belt loop or belt clip...I use the clip on all of mine the belt loop is more discreet...tough as nails...will not wear out...

It looks like a good fit.

So, I decided to bite the bullet and pulled the trigger on the ZS7 from Amazon before the price goes up. I paid $306 for it.

Thanks, guys. I'm looking forward to testing it. I should get it on Tue. I almost went for the ZS5 in favor of $70 but in the end, I figured that $70 for a better LCD, ded movie button and better (more efficient) movie format was worth it.

Congrats! My ZS7 should arrive this week too.

Anyone used 3rd party battery for the ZS7? this one seems to work based on the comments and it's much cheaper than OEM.

Thanks, Jazzer and DKL.

As for replacement batteries, it looks like this is a good deal, DKL. Some of my fav brands for rep. batt. (i.e., CTA and Lenmar) appear not to work with F/W 1.2. But, I'll test the camera first before buying rep batt.
