Thanks, Sarah. We'll see. I am still unsure about spending that kind of money on a pocket camera, specially when I see the Pentax K-x with the kit lens going for $450. It's so much more camera for the money but...I guess it will not help me when I'm skiing down the hill trying to shoot some video of my son at the same time, or when I go to the beach and want to take some family snapshots w/o being concerned about exposing the camera to the environment. So, I guess the ZS7 serves its own purpose and I'm paying for portability and practicality.

450 for the k-x with a lens, that is low, I would get that in a heartbeat. The lowest I have seen was 520. Amazon has it for 590.

Amazon has it for $513. Abes has it for $480 but with Bing cash back it comes down to a little over $450.

After replying to some posts regarding the needs for a super compact/pocketable camera (like the ZSn/ZRn), I realized that maybe I need to consider selling my FZ28. Since I already have the G1 with two lenses (one being the Lumix 45-200), I have the 400mm reach already. Of course the FZ28 gives me an extra 105mm but I don't think I'll be using it as much. The G1 + ZS7 should be a good combo.

I think that makes a nice light weight travel combo. And the G1 will give you much better IQ over the FZ.

Absolutely. It's a done deal...the FZ28 goes on Craig's list and eBay today!

Good decision, Tullio-

I sold my FZ-28 just before Christmas for $380. If you know the camera is not going to be used much, it has to go because it will just continue to loose value.

Yes, you're right. You did good, Sarah. With the FZ35 going for $313, I'd be lucky if I get close to $300 (I am including an extra battery and a Nikon 4-filter set with it).
