Default Reminder: FZ Facebook group

Since the FZ Owners Group on Steve's is no more, I'd like to remind that group's former members and inform those who were unaware of our Facebook group:

I joined, but you need to change permissions so members can post photos, have discussions, or plan meeting events there.

Great idea, hope more people join! :-)

PS put a profile pic up too.

oops! I didn't realize members were locked out of the discussion section. I'll fix that!

I'll try to find a setting that allows me (or a future admin) to preview pics before they get posted. People are unpredictable and one never knows what they might post in an unfiltered area. I could be wrong, but I believe the general consensus might be that it should be a family-friendly group, so it needs to be kept free of porn, graphic violence, political raving, religious zealotry, and so on.

I thought of using a stock FZ28 or 38 photo, but other FZ owners might not appreciate that. I'm not sure what to use for the group avatar; or did you mean my personal one?

hmmm... Discussions was already enabled. I dunno why you can't post there or create new ones.
According to the help section, only admins can create Events.

Also, there's absolutely no way to filter incoming images. Facebook needs to expand their group controls, for sure. Unless, any pics posted by members automatically get sent to an admin-preview box, which is doubtful.

ok, here's a potential solution to the pic thing:

Users can send a message to my Lazy Lens Facebook account and attach a photo.
I don't know whether Facebook makes it easy to move photos from an inbox to a group, but it's worth a shot. If all else fails, I guess I can save the pic locally and then upload it to the group.
