Default Backyard FZ35 pictures

I am lucky enough to to live next to a conservation area. I am really new to this whole photography thing, but here are some pictures I took with the FZ35. Can you please offere some ideas to do a better job?

What do you mean by "screening" my shots? I did some PP in Picasa and selected a few I liked best, is that what you mean?
