Default Looking for some advice (or persuasion)

I'm getting ready to buy a camera and i narrowed it down to the FZ35 or the FZ28. Which one should I get? Are they both solid cameras?

Thank you in advance!

My vote is for the FZ35. To be honest, you wouldn't choose badly if you picked the FZ28, but the price point is so close together that you'll kick yourself for not spending the extra 50-60 for the extra features. Just my opinion, though!

Both cameras are very good indeed. However the FZ-35 has a few more features and more resolution.

I have the FZ28 and it's a great camera but, unless you are on a tight budget and manage to find a FZ28 going for $60 (or more) less than the FZ35, to me the FZ35 is the way to go.

Thank you. I think all of you helped me narrow it down to the FZ35. Next step...buy! Hopefully soon.

Glad we could peer-pressure you, I mean, convince you to buy the FZ35!

You'll enjoy it, I'm sure!

Here's a link you might enjoy. Tony is an artist/photographer and his pictures and writings are very interesting. You can follow his journey from FZ18, 28 and 35. I still find myself referring to his settings.

I recently picked up a FZ28 for $200 off Ebay and haven't regretted it. I went through the same situation as you and just decided I would pay no more than $200 for a 28. Otherwise I would have bought a new 35 for about $310 (Amazon or Vanns I think).

I did ask Tony his opinion since he'd had experience with both and he felt the 35 performed a bit betting in low light.

You can also check B&H Photo for a used FZ35. I bought mine there about a month ago for $221.00 delivered to Southern California! It was rated a 9 out of 10 & it's in perfect shape.

Got it Friday, FZ35! About $340 w/ 8GB card, bag and shipping. So far I really like it...I just haven't had time to really get out and take photos...very hectic schedule.
