Default I can't open Photo Fun Studio 5.0

I just bought a ZS6 at Costco yesterday. After $50 it will be $239 (Sale doesnt begin until 6/10, so I'll be reimbursed.)

I installed the Photo Fun Studio 5.0 software and I'm able to download photos into my PC. However, when I'm not downloading photos, I'm unable to open Photo Fun Studio. Initially it gave me an error message saying "Use a display environment of 1024. * 768, 16 bits or more". Well, my screen resolution is higher than that. I finally made it even higher. In the meantime, I was able to click on the program and it came up, but after a few seconds it literally froze and said no longer responding. I have to open the Task Manager and close it. I've tried this a few times and it always the same. Just cannot open it.

Can anyone tell me what the problem is? I have Windows Vista and my Canon software works fine, as does Adobe Photoshop Elements. I would really like to be able to use Photo Fun Studio.

Thanks for any tips or suggestions!

2leashes-

Open you photos in Photoshop Elements. You should have no problem at all. Photo Fun Studio is a rather marginal piece of software, anyway.

Oh, good. So it's not like I'm missing out on any great and creative program for my photos? I miss my Adobe Photo Deluxe! It was so user-friendly and did just what I wanted. For some reason it keeps telling me that I can't initialize it because the file is locked and to use File Manager to turn off Read-Only option. I have no idea what that means, but now I can't get to my Photo Deluxe.
