Default My First Pics with FZ35

Ok, been a little hesitant to post any pictures but you can't learn without some constructive criticism. Most were taken on my trip to New Orleans, using the IA mode. Still reading and trying to learn. I took over 1000 pictures but probably deleted half as somehow I had burst mode on so found a lot of duplicates. Other than resizing they are as taken. No digital correction.

Descriptions:

1) Our 3.3lb killer Chihuahua (Pixie)
2) Flower from our yard
3-5) Harrah's Casino, New Orleans (can you tell where I like to spend my time?)
6) Sleeping parrot at Audobon Aquarium, New Orleans
7) Audobon Aquarium, New Orleans
8) River Walk, New Orleans
9) Carnival ship on the Mississippi (taken from hotel room on 27 floor)
10) Cool sign on Bourbon Street, New Orleans

Muzicman-

Welcome to the Forum. We're please that you dropped by.

Your photos look good. You might try the "P" for Programed Auto Mode. It works just like IA, but it work better and allows for some adjustments as well. For example, changing the White Balance to "Cloudy" would have improved your photo of the Carnival Triumph.

Your colors will be less muted and more true if you change your WB as the lighting changes in your photos.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll give the Program AE mode a try.
