It was basically on 'P' tho and i used a circular polariser filter,though i still am not getting it quite right lol as the sky is 2 shades of blue

Your shot looks great. Please keep in mind that a Polarizing Filter has to be rotated to achieve the correct filter angle with relation to the sun. You were very close to the correct angle, but not exactly there. This is a common error, it has happened to me many times.

So, it no big deal that there are two blues in the sky. The shot itself is excellent.

the only thing is, its quite hard to judge on the lcd, as the full sky on the lcd looked darker,not just one part, before i took the photo.

well, was at Edinburgh Zoo today, took a lot of photos. i forgot to set the camera to landscape when using the cp filter, though the glass/perspex was so thick and dirty, it prob wouldnt have mattered. a lot of wire fences too also didnt help. will upload to my flickr overnight, and i'll post a couple.
