Default need a little advice please

Since i am going away next week i want to buy a fast SDHC card for the FZ38 but after having looked there are just so many to choose from. Is there any particular one that i should buy? they all seem to say class 6 - is that right?
also i still haven't bought those filters. i need one to stop scratches on the lens but was wondering if i should buy any others too?
what would you recommend?
I ask so i don't buy the wrong thing and waste money too.
Many thanks for all your help in advance.
E.
need to order soon.

E, I certainly would recommend a class 6 card, but try to stick to known
brands as there are a number of manufacturers out there that are not
reaching the required class speeds. Suggest you buy from a reputable dealer
too so if you have problems you can return the card.

I use a Kenko uv filter to protect the lens of my FZ38. With a super zoom itís
a good idea to protect the lens. This is what I have:
