Have you tried using spot focus?

its just a simple screw on lens, supposedly offers magnification, there are +2,+4 and +8. Im not too convinced, but its cheap enough. just search 46mm marcro and you'll find them

I haven't ever boughtfrom e-bay as i don't have the cards for them. tend to only buy from amazon.

i have one for my art site yes but never ever used it and don't know how to. i got it for others to use when buying art work, lol.
