I noticed they showed the FZ45 on You Tube while the Panasonic site refers to the FZ40,...probably a Europe/USA distinction.

Most concerting (for me), is the bazooka lens of the FZ100 at full telephoto - perhaps the FZ40/45 will have the same extension and it wasn't shown.

One of the nice benefits of the FZ1x-3x series has been the relative discreteness of the lens for such a zoom range.

But I guess to get 24x zoom something had to give!

From the youtube video it looked like both the FZ45 and FZ100 had a 24x zoom. I had assumed the 45 would be the current 18x and the 100 would step up to a bigger zoom. Did anyone pick up on what the differences are between the two?

EDIT: Nevermind. I just saw the other thead with the specs and differneces. I may just pick up an FZ35 when these new models hit the streets and drive its price even lower. The FZ40 doesn't seem to be huge upgrade except for the zoom and the FZ100 is probably going to be out of my price range.
