Default DMC-FZ35 vs. DMC-ZS7 (Indoor Shots)

I am buying on of these cameras. Which one will produce better indoor shots (i.e. birthday parties, holiday events, etc.)?

Thanks,

Frank

Someone on another message forum pointed me to this site. I really don't see the difference between the two. Thoughts?

neither if you are shooting low light indoors really, like dinner parties. But between the 2 the FZ has the more powerful flash.

I am buying one of these two. I just need to determine which one is going to be best out of the two.

The FZ has the better flash range, so it will give you a better flash photo indoors.

If you would like better than these two haveto offer the Canon S90 is really good as it has a better lens and larger sensor...

ftlee-

I am sure that you would like to know why the FZ-35 is the better camera for indoor photos taken using flash. The difference lies in the power of the built-in flash unit on each camera. One of the ways of expressing the power of a built-in flash is to determine its actual Flash Range.

The Flash Range is the distance, at ISO 100, between camera and subject at which you can get the proper exposure. For the ZS-7 the Flash Range is just 6 feet. For the FZ-35 the Flash Range is 11 feet. So you can quickly determine that the built-in flash unit on the FZ-35 is roughly twice as powerful as the built-in flash unit on the ZS-7.
