Excelent shot Outlaw!
My attempt to photograph tha moon last night ended having a small blured white spot in the middle of a 'noisy' blue-black background... I know that even a tripod would not help me much..
Could you please share with us as much information about your settings as you remember? And any other important details as well...

Taken with the FZ35

Night scenery/illuminations mode
Full EZ Zoom (requires decreasing down to 3m)
Exposure set to -2

I also sharpened and cropped in Picasa.
