Default How to use digital zoom on FZ35

Sorry for giving you silly question again.
I do not know how to use digital zoom.
it's just stop on 18x optical zoom.
Is there any specific setting or another controlling for digital zoom?

Glad you found it. Many people don't use the "digital" zoom because it degrades the quality of the picture.

Forget the digital zoom, the quality is super-low.

Best to use the EZ Zoom, which occurs when you set quality to 3 megapixels, your zoom will almost double at the upper end and the quality is much better than digital.

At least that has been my experience.

What do you mean?
Could you explain me more details?

LIfe,

When you change your picture size to 3m from 12m , your zoom automatically switches to extended optical zoom (EZ). This almost doubles the zoom on the upper end with no deterioration in picture quality. Try it and see if it works for you. It's explained in the advanced manual starting on page 52.

Like Cherokee Outlaw, I use EZ zoom often and find the quality to be fine. Hey, 3mp is not that shabby,.....I have found it especially useful in Yellowstone Park when photographing those great animals at long range. I just keep my C1 setting on 3mp and it's easy and quick to change over.
