Default I'm in the mode for ????????

LT - when you use your monopod shooting macros do you leave the stabilization on AUTO or do you use Mode 1 or Mode 2?

Mode 2 all the time...if I get on Tripod for Moon Shots, I shoot 10sec 3 shots timer & I turn it off...

Could you please clarify on why/when to use Mode 1 vs Mode 2 image stabilization?

For as far I know, read, and heard...

When you're on auto, well, the camera decides which mode to use for the Power O.I.S. When on mode 1, the Power O.I.S is on all the time including image composition, and when on mode 2, the Power O.I.S is only on when you press the shutter button.

I hope this makes a bit more clear when LT is always on mode 2, but please correct me if I'm totally wrong
