Default Flash for the FZ100

A couple of questions about the FL360 if anybody has one.

I've been reading that the auto focus lamp on the flash doesn't come on for the FZ series just the camera focus lamp. True?

To bounce the flash you have to use manual settings. True? (and I guess that makes sence)

Vivitar makes a unit that is supposed to be Panasonic compatible. Model 383. Anyone tried it?

I own and use the FL-36 with my Oly cameras. No, the FL-36's focusing lamp would not illuminate as the camera and flash firmware match is not that close.

Why not save some money and use a Digital Concepts Slave Flash. It sells for around $(US)40 and provides just a little less light than the FL-36. I use mine a lot.

Please just click on the link below for a high resolution photo of the Digital Concepts Slave Flash mounted on my FZ-28.
