I can't see the difference in the pictures.
Are exactly equal.

As Fabian mentions +2 ev this is not small at all, even if it was just 1/3 of a stop you could see the change.

I'm guessing as you can't see a change that you've adjusted the flash compensation rather than exposure compensation. They look basically the same on most cameras.

No, the flash was turned off and the option I set was the exposure.

Could be that some other setting is canceling the option to increase or decrease the exposure?

Strange, what happens if you do the same in aperture or shutter priority?
