LTZ-

Good samples, I am beginning to see some nice sharpness.

Wow! These look great! Settings again please. Or can I find these on the photo somehow myself so I don't have to keep bothering you for them. I would love to find settings I could basically set & forget in 'P' mode. Is this even possible?

Use spot focus and spot metering...
Standard Mode
Contrast +1
Sharpness +1
Saturation +1
NR -2

Use a Monopod or a Tripod when feasible...all of these were off a Tripod which helps my old shaky hands...

I bit the bullet and bought a Carbon Fiber Monopod and Tripod...best money I ever spent...was easy carrying the CF tripod around with the FZ100 on board...first trip with it...whew it was hot and glad I had the lighter Tripod...

They make Carbon Fiber Monopods with Tripod feet and they are worth their weight in gold...for the car show you shot it would have been perfect...but when you retract it it will fit easily under the seat of your car...

Thanks Jack for the kind words...thats why all the image samples and "controlled" testing is very misleading on the internet...not real world, real time, real field, testing like we do...it's this uncontrolled testing that really seperates the real camera's from wanabees...

The FZ40 is going to be great in the field also! Can't wait...

The which is which game we ran at DPR...several people guessed the ZS7 Macro was done with the Canon 7D and 100L Macro lens...also here at Steve's...and we have people still thinking the ZS3 is better than the ZS7...I am still waitin' on the ZS3 photos to be posted here or at DPR that prove it...

LT - you are an impressive photographer!!

All of your shots have me considering the FZ100 again or perhaps the FZ40 (I really miss the articulating screen). I've seen the FZ100's price coming down a bit and if they get a firmware fix I may give it a go.

Thanks for all your work on this.

Thanks Clint...I would not hesitate and get the FZ40 from Amazon to try for 30 days...you will like it I am sure...it is better in many ways than the FZ35 for me...and you will pick it up quickly...

Yes the articulating screen on the FZ100 is most impressive...I never thought I would hear myself write this!...lol...
