There must be a thread which online image storing is better i couldn't find it please do a search. There are many advantages of them.

Picasa does save the need to generate a smaller image for embedding.

If you go into the Tools then select Options then choose a larger size to upload pictures, you'll get larger images.

I'd uploaded the full size image but picasa provides you with different file sizes for linking. I wasn't sure what file sizes would be acceptable for embedding so I embedded the smaller file size and provided a link to the image in Picasa.

I'm guessing it's not ok to embed 5-6MB image files but I can probably get away with something bigger than I've posted so far...

Which size is best?

Both look good to me

I don't upload the original sized file to my web album - I use this - the 1600 pixels for uploading.

Then I link them to the forum when I post.
