Default Turkey Vultures/Buzzards FZ40-FZ100 & TC-E17ED

I only got a couple with FZ40...meant to get more for comp's...did not have the correct settings on the camera and I smeared the photos...left the NR too high and the sharpness too low from morning zoom test...got in from Church and these guys were on the fence...grabbed the cameras and started shooting forgetting about the settings...sorry I PP'd them as best I could...and some are 7Mp EZ Zoom...the best I could figure distance was max 200ft and shortest 130-150ft...

These superzoom cameras really are ideal for wildlife photography.

Numbers 3 and 4 show the most detail.

Both from the FZ100...but they still have some of the black feathers painted together...but overall good photos to my eyes...wished I had grabbed the FZ35 also to compare details..

I don't study pictures very closely but I trust Sarah Joyce's eye,.....it's interesting to me that sometimes when the cameras are not named in advance, the FZ100 gets the nod.

I confess to wanting the FZ100 to be a real winner, although I've already pretty much decided that it's the camera for me,......we all have different purposes. I think I will really value the burst features as well as "intelligent zoom",.....I am really enjoying your reports, much better than any other forum offers. Thanks!

I agree some ugly birds but the shots came out well

Going to another point raised, I'm not sure how anyone can really say much on detail when we are talking small web images, the PP can have so much to do with it etc etc.

I think that the reason possibly is that some people are anti the FZ100 so wouldn't necessarily give it the nod knowingly
